Rev. Dr. David Schuchardt
Hello! While I don’t put much stock in titles, I am an Ordained Minister with the Free Methodist Church in Canada (fmcic.ca) and I hold a Doctor of Ministry from Northeastern Seminary (Roberts Wesleyan University) in Rochester, New York. What I hope this conveys is that I have a calling to be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and that I’m passionate in my pursuit of living out that calling.
Before joining Options Pregnancy Centre I served as the Lead Pastor at Northview Community Church in Argyle Park from January 2014 to August 2026. I have experience both in business and fundraising, and I served as a Board Member for 6 years for a Pregnancy Centre with two locations: North York and Scarborough, ON.
I’m very excited to join the work at Options Pregnancy Centre! Each morning, I walk and I pray for the work of the Centre (among other things). Often, I envision a young woman discovering she’s unexpectantly pregnant and I imagine the fear she goes through. Who can she tell? Who can she turn to for help? What does she believe about her future? Too often they believe that they can’t tell anyone (“my parents will kill me!” “My pastor will judge me.”). In many situations, the guy’ adds his own complications, adding his own fears. And then there’s the sense that a baby is going to derail all the plans they had for their future. Then I picture us, Options Pregnancy Centre, receiving them and giving them a safe space to process. While with us, at their request, we offer good information about their options and assure them that we will walk with them in their next steps (we don’t refer for abortion, but we do have post-abortion care programming available). In short, we seek to express the love of Christ to every person who come to us in the context of an unplanned pregnancy. And that love is given without judgment.
We understand ourselves to be a partner with local churches, helping to extend the ministry of the gospel. We also understand ourselves to be an important social agency to the City of Regina. Our services are free and confidential, and no manipulation is used to force a particular decision. I would love to tell you more about our important work.
I am available to speak for free to organizations, at churches (weekend or weekday, even preaching if desired), or at events. Email me at director@reginapregnancy.com. No one should go through a time of crisis alone.
